Discover La Crêperie French Café Key West

If you're craving a taste of France while soaking in the laid-back atmosphere of Key West, look no further than La Crêperie French Café Key West. Located at 300 Petronia St #1, this charming café brings the essence of French cuisine to the heart of the Keys. From savory to sweet, their extensive crêpe menu offers something for every palate, all served in a cozy, inviting setting perfect for a relaxed meal.

Walking into La Crêperie, you’re immediately hit with the rustic charm that makes this spot feel like a little piece of France. The décor is both chic and comfortable, with touches of French culture throughout the space. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind, enjoy delicious food, and perhaps even strike up a conversation with the friendly staff, who are always ready to recommend something new if you’re indecisive about what to try.

Their crêpes are, of course, the star of the show, and there’s no shortage of options to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for something savory like the “Ham and Cheese Crêpe” or prefer something sweet like the “Nutella and Banana Crêpe,” each dish is made with fresh, quality ingredients that really stand out. The crêpes are thin, delicate, and perfectly cooked, making them a delight with every bite.

But the menu doesn’t stop there. La Crêperie also offers a range of other French-inspired dishes, from freshly made salads to delightful sandwiches. If you're looking for something light, the “Quiche Lorraine” or “French Onion Soup” might be just what you need. For those with a hearty appetite, their savory crêpes filled with fresh ingredients like sautéed mushrooms, roasted chicken, and spinach are an excellent choice.

A particular standout is the “Classic French Ratatouille Crêpe,” which brings a lovely medley of vegetables that are cooked to perfection, wrapped in a soft crêpe that’s just the right amount of crispy on the edges. You can almost taste the love and care that goes into preparing each dish. Whether you’re a long-time fan of French cuisine or new to it, these options will certainly make your taste buds dance with joy.

Don’t forget to pair your crêpe with one of their delicious beverages. La Crêperie offers a selection of French wines, local craft beers, and coffee drinks to complement your meal. A nice glass of French wine pairs beautifully with a savory crêpe, while their decadent hot chocolate or café au lait is the perfect drink to accompany a sweet crêpe.

The café also serves as a great spot for breakfast or brunch. The “French Toast Crêpe,” for example, is a crowd favorite, offering the warm, comforting flavors of French toast in crêpe form, lightly dusted with powdered sugar and served with fresh fruit. It’s a perfect way to kickstart your day in the Keys.

  • Really good lattes and tasty food, but definitely on the pricey side. Breakfast for 3: two crepes, a quiche, two coffees, and a milkshake — came to about $90 including tip. Quality is there, but be prepared for high-end prices.

  • A beautiful setting with outstanding service! The food is remarkable and excellent! We went there every morning for cappuccino and pastries, and sometimes a bigger breakfast. Do not pass this place up! Our favorite breakfast location in Key West!!

  • We always stop by this cute spot in Key West. I love the plain crepes, but I tried a savory one this time and wasn't a fan. The plain crepe with maple syrup is still my favorite! My family loves the sweet crepes and they get crazy and ice cream Service the last two times have been better. So I appreciate that as well.

  • Great crepes and even better paninis — this place was a pleasant surprise. We absolutely loved the smoked salmon paninis — easily the standout of our meal and something I’d happily come back for again. The sweet crepes were also excellent and hit the spot perfectly. The savory crepes we tried didn’t quite shine in comparison, but they were still good and enjoyable. Croques and coffee were solid as well — no complaints there. Overall, the food delivered, especially for breakfast or a light brunch. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was genuinely warm and attentive. We sat inside, but there are also nice street-side seating options if you want to soak in the vibe outside. One small but important heads-up: bathroom availability is very limited. So this is not the place to count on for a restroom stop before, during, or after your meal — plan accordingly and find another spot nearby if that’s on your list. Bottom line: Great spot for paninis, sweet crepes, and coffee in a friendly setting. If we’re back in town during breakfast hours, we’ll absolutely return — mainly for that smoked salmon panini.

  • Best breakfast in Key West. Came back both mornings that we were there. We had the veggie Omelette and the quiche and tried some crepes as well, which were SO good. The cappuccino was on point as well. The vibes are so cute. Friendly staff. I love this place so much and would highly recommend it.

  • Fantastic breakfast, lunch or brunch spot! We went for brunch one afternoon around 1pm in August and it was busy but we got seats at the bar. Stopped by the next morning around 11am and it was PACKED and lots of people waiting. Amazing food. I had a great crepe with strawberries, banana and chocolate ganache. My boyfriend had a croque and was obsessed! Great and super friendly service. Would definitely return here!

  • Traditional French breakfast fare in a classic styled cafe with a jovial atmosphere. Service was quick but with no pressure to keep moving even though they had a constant stream of patrons. Being able to watch the crepes being made in front of you while sitting at the bar was especially helpful in deciding what to have on future visits!
